Our Story…

Way back when the roads were gravel and only wide enough for one tractor, a sweet lady named Sadie owned the property. She lived here with her two daughters, in a two bedroom home, equipped with a cistern, cellar, and an outhouse. Our great cousin Johnny bought the property from Sadie in the 70’s. He rented the home out, fenced in the property and released cattle on the land. In the summer of 1975, during my childhood, my parents moved to the area, bought land not far from here, and started building our family home. We rented the little two bedroom “Sadie’s home” from cousin Johnny and stayed there until just before Thanksgiving.

Over the years the little home and property slowly deteriorated and my cousin stopped renting it out. Cattle and wildlife were the only signs of movement on the 70 acres. The land sat and rested for over 20 years.

In the mean time I moved away, traveled the country, and in 2015 moved back into the Walnut Shade area. I eventually bought the property from cousin Johnny. The Ozark Mountains have always had a special place in our hearts. The woods are peaceful and we find great calmness here.

In 2018 my brother went for a hike on the 70 acres, he walked thru the woods with an open mind and came out with a vision that we created for all of you. We hope you will enjoy these mountains as much as we do. Our goal is to share this beautiful land with the world!

The foundation of Sadies little home is still visible and now houses our gardens.
